1.What is Six Sigma?
Six Sigma is a structured, reliable business system utilizing data and statistical thinking for bettering the performance of businesses. It seeks to achieve its purpose by trying to reduce the mistakes, wastes, and reworks so as to make business profit improve by curbing process variation-or defect-in an endeavor to ensure business processes have a higher degree of predictability and success.

2. Why Six Sigma Certification?
Six Sigma certification verifies a degree of training, practice, and ability in relation to certain competencies. While requirements for each Six Sigma certification level vary, all require training, and each student, referred to as a "Belt", must have a leadership-approved project before Six Sigma certification training.

3.What Are The Six Sigma Certifications?
Six Sigma Green Belts received two days of training in the Six Sigma road map and key components of statistical methods in support of Six Sigma projects. Green Belts spend up to 50% of their time on Six Sigma projects, and Black Belts aid them with projects as necessary.
Six Sigma Black Belts are technical specialists who have attended four days of training on the Six Sigma road map and extensive statistical techniques. Black Belts typically spend a maximum of 75% of their time on Six Sigma projects, and they support Green Belts as needed. Green Belt certification is mandatory for Black Belt certification eligibility.
Six Sigma Master Black Belts are the ultimate level of technical and organizational competency. They've been trained on the Six Sigma methodology for six days, and they've gained the skills and tools necessary to instruct Six Sigma philosophies and apply Six Sigma in an organization. Master Black Belts sponsor all levels of Six Sigma projects, and they assist Black Belts in applying methodology when called upon. They're fully dedicated to their job in Six Sigma. Black Belt certification is required for Master Black Belt certification eligibility.
